Cosmetology Program Details
Program Overview
The Cosmetology program at Jagiellonian University combines medical and pharmaceutical sciences, as well as health and physical culture sciences. This field of study meets the needs of the dynamically developing cosmetic industry.
Program Description
The program provides general knowledge in the area of the four sciences mentioned above, advanced knowledge about cosmetics and substances used to produce them, the technology of cosmetic products, their metabolism and effects, knowledge of their proper use, and the methods and techniques of the quality assessment of raw materials and cosmetic and medical preparations.

Curriculum Overview
The program curriculum indicates which subjects are scheduled for each semester of the studies, which are mandatory, which belong to the group of elective subjects, which of them end with an exam, and which do not. Faculty Information
The Faculty of Pharmacy is the best one in Poland, combining tradition and modernity. It has the A+ category granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and programs conducted at the Faculty lead in rankings prepared by the Education Foundation “Perspektywy”. The research conducted focuses on the search for new and innovative forms of medicines, assessment of the toxicity of medicines, and issues concerning biotechnology and pharmacology.

Graduates
A Cosmetology graduate may conduct research in the laboratories of research and industrial units in the cosmetic industry or work in skincare clinics. Graduates are ready for planning and performing cosmetic procedures and applying products following the diagnosis, with indications and contra-indications in mind, reading the formulation of a cosmetic and determining its use, close collaboration with a dermatologist in the area of pathologically affected skin treatment, and according to the recommended treatments.
