Therapeutic Recreation: Evidence Based Program Planning and Facilitation Project

Program Overview

This Therapeutic Recreation program focuses on evidence-based practice, enhancing research skills, and applying research to program planning and facilitation. Students work with a faculty advisor on an extensive project, exploring current research techniques and interventions. The program includes 45 hours of in-person and online lectures, and prepares students for careers in therapeutic recreation.

Description:

In this course, you will work with a faculty advisor in designing an extensive term project that utilizes current research in therapeutic recreation facilitation techniques and/or interventions. In doing so, you will further your understanding of evidence-based practice, increase your research skills, and explore the practical application of research to program planning and facilitation.
