- Applicants should have been awarded, or expect to achieve, a Masters degree in a relevant subject with a 60% or higher weighted average, and/or a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree (or an equivalent qualification from an overseas institution).
- Transcripts of the marks you have already achieved should be provided with your application. If your qualification is suitable and your grades are good, we would normally accept this as providing evidence of your research potential.
- The College will also consider applicants with substantial and significant work experience outside of their degree(s) in a relevant field, even if they do not currently meet the academic entry requirements. This may include unpaid internships, volunteering for charities and NGOs, or self-funded activities.
Language Entry Requirements:
- For applicants who are not from majority English-speaking countries, it is necessary to meet the College's English language requirements.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
- Applicants whose first language is not English are required to meet the College's English language requirements. These requirements vary depending on the specific program, but generally applicants are required to achieve a minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS test, with a minimum score of 6.0 in each individual component.
- Applicants may also be required to take a pre-sessional English language course if their English language skills are not yet at the required level.

- In addition to the College's fully or partially funded projects, the College also accepts self-funded students (i.e., not funded by Aston University and their partners).
