The Rowan University Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering offers an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering (BS-BME). The program's curriculum emphasizes technical fundamentals through core courses and allows for specialization through elective choices. It also offers several accelerated combined degree programs and allows students to enrich their degree with certificate programs (CUGS) and/or additional degree programs (e.g., minors).

Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:

  • High School Transcript: A high school transcript is required.
  • If the transcript is not in English, a certified English translation is necessary. A Foreign Credential Evaluation Report is optional.
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency: International students must submit standardized test scores unless they are exempt.
  • Specific codes are provided for TOEFL (2515), Pearson Test of English (PTE) (M7V), and Duolingo (add Rowan University to "My Colleges" list). Official IELTS score reports can be verified with the TRF# in the bottom right corner.
  • Performing or Creative Arts Majors: Students applying to Performing or Creative Arts majors (art, music, theater, and dance) need to submit an audition or portfolio review.
  • Transfer Students: Students who have completed 12 or more college credits at another institution are considered transfer students and must submit their college transcripts.
  • If transcripts are not in English, a certified English translation is necessary. All official transcripts are required before the semester begins. A Foreign Credential Evaluation Report is optional.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

International students must submit proof of English language proficiency unless exempt. Acceptable tests include TOEFL, PTE, IELTS, and Duolingo. Minimum required scores and exemptions can be found in Rowan's English Language Policy (link not provided in context). Students who don't meet the English proficiency requirement may be offered Conditional Admission and participate in the English Language Program (ELP) to improve their skills before entering the university.
