Norwich University of the Arts
Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) has established itself in arts, design and media education for over 170 years. But while our history can be traced back to 1845, our outlook is forward-thinking.

Services

Student services

NUA understands that when arriving from outside the UK you may need a little extra support to help settle into your new community. The University provides a dedicated support service including advice on visas, working in the UK and registering with police, doctors and banks as well as support on cultural differences. Student Support, which is responsible for the personal welfare of all students studying at the University, can also help with any welfare issues.

Housing services

Norwich University of the Arts offers students a range of accommodation options to suit all requirements and budgets.

From the University’s high specification halls of residence at All Saints Green in central Norwich, to its budget-friendly halls at Beechcroft just a short bus ride from the campus, NUA students are extremely well catered for.

Library services

The Library is located in the Duke Street Building, a delightful nineteenth century former school building which also houses studios, the Student Union Office, a Lecture Theatre and seminar rooms. The building is designed to be accessible by users with mobility issues.

Medical services

The National Health Service (NHS) provides health services in the UK and all students are entitled to treatment from the NHS, including Tier 4 visa holders who will have paid IHS fees as part of the immigration process.

Student Life

Campus life

From a city centre campus that boasts cutting-edge facilities, to an approach to teaching which saw us awarded Gold under the Teaching Excellence Framework and ranked 10th in the UK for teaching quality by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018, our reputation for excellence is well-earned.

Look around our city centre campus and you will find studios, media labs, and creative spaces in 11 buildings that sit among the cafés, bars, independent galleries and shops of Norwich’s cultural quarter.

Accreditation

The University was established as an independent higher education institution under Section 121 of the Education Reform Act 1988, and is a recognised body with taught degree awarding powers. The University is regulated by the Office for Students (OfS).
