Washington State University is a public higher education institution in Pullman, Washington. The facility provides undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate-level degrees in various fields.

Currently, Washington State’s main campus is in Pullman, but the establishment has several further locations across the state. At these locations, the university supports over 20,000 students from various backgrounds. Overview


Across six different campuses, Washington State has a wide range of facilities for use in different degree programs. Among these facilities are libraries, research centres, digital classrooms and laboratories.

On the main campus in Pullman, Washington State has various state-of-the-art learning facilities. Students can access a multicultural centre and athletics and fitness spaces. In addition, the establishment has subject-specific facilities such as a veterinary and biomedical research building and the PACCAR Environmental Technology Building.




Campus Life


Washington State has a vibrant and diverse community on campus. Students can find many extracurricular activities as well as welcoming and sociable campuses. Today students from all 50 states and over 100 countries attend the university.

Presently, the university has over 300 sports clubs and more than 70 intramural sports teams. Students can also join around 60 different faith and cultural clubs. Furthermore, the establishment encourages students to take up volunteering alongside their studies. As a result, 5,741 students were actively volunteering between 2019 and 2020.




Accommodation


Today, students have a range of on-campus housing options at Washington State. The establishment has 13 different halls of residence. Also, students can choose from a variety of accommodation types whilst studying. These include single and double rooms, private housing and catering options.

However, around 25% of students live on campus, while the majority live in halls or shared or rented spaces in Pullman. The university offers support and guidance about living off campus and students can find rooms, apartments and other options through the support team.




Employability

Students from Washington State graduate and move into various fields and careers. Some of the career choices of graduates include business, education, government, law, marketing, and sustainability among others. At present, the establishment offers various employability support for students and graduates.





City Life

Pullman is a small town located 90 a minute drive south of Spokane. Here students will find a quiet town life with a mix of locals and university students. There is a diverse and multicultural community stemming from the university.

There is plenty to do in Pullman, with outdoor and recreational activities available year-round. In addition, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and shopping in the town. Students can also head out of town to visit some of the US’s larger cities. Seattle is a five-hour drive, while Portland is six hours away.
