University of the West of Scotland
The University of the West of Scotland (UWS) is a public university with four campuses in south-western Scotland, in the towns of Paisley, Blantyre, Dumfries and Ayr, as well as a campus in London, England.
UWS was formed in 2007 by the merger of the University of Paisley and Bell College. It has over 16,000 students, making it the largest modern university in Scotland.
UWS is known for its teaching and research excellence, and its commitment to producing work-ready graduates. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and research degree programmes across four academic schools:
- School of Computing, Engineering and Technology
- School of Health and Social Care
- School of Humanities and Social Sciences
- School of Business, Management and Law
