Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biomedical Science at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) is a four-year undergraduate program. Biomedical Science is a field that explores human biology and medical science. This program was established to meet the need for manpower that can serve in the health-related sector. Graduates of Biomedical Science are trained to work in medical diagnostic laboratories, as researchers in the field of medicine and health, and as officers in any sector/industry related to health and medicine.

The program consists of eight semesters, with a variety of courses that provide a comprehensive education in biomedical science. The courses include:

• Basic Biochemistry and Metabolism
• Development of Self I
• Course Outside Faculty
• Histology
• Basic Molecular Biology
• Anatomy and Physiology of Health II
• Behavioral Science
• Academic Interactions (MUET Band 3)
• Academic Literacy (MUET Band 4)
• Page To Stage (MUET Band 5 & 6)
• Development of Self II
• Basic Course in Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for the program are as follows:

• Local Students:
  • Registration: RM 1,200
  • Activity and Service: RM 590
  • Tuition Fee: RM 600
  • First Semester: RM 2,390
  • Subsequent Semesters: RM 1,190
  • Total Fee: RM 10,720
