Professional Certificate in Data Analytics

The Professional Certificate in Data Analytics is a program designed to produce a new era of human capital with expertise in data analytics. The program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to apply data analytics in the world of work, underlying the development of the country according to the development of technology IR4.0.

Objectives

The program has the following objectives:

• To produce students who are sensitive to the knowledge of the field of data analytics and its application in the world of work.
• To develop students with high soft skills, who are responsible, competent, and knowledgeable in performing work in the field of data analysis.
• To foster creativity in problem-solving, communication, and open-mindedness in entrepreneurs based on a data analytics scientific approach.

Course Learning Outcomes

The program has the following course learning outcomes:

HPP1

Build and maintain dashboard reports and analysis.

HPP2

Provide business hypotheses.

HPP3

Develop a visualization model of data analysis and communication.

HPP4

Analyze reliable data.

HPP5

Design security and compliance data analysis.

Topic Coverage

The program covers the following topics:

1. Business Hypothesis Testing
2. Unstructured and Structured Data Analytics (Python and Jupyter Notebook)
3. Data Visualization (Tableau)
4. Data Communication, Visualization, and Reporting (Power BI)
5. Final Project

Fees

The program fee is RM 3,000.00 for Malaysian students.

Mode of Study and Duration

The program is offered online with a duration of 3 months and 4 credits.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for the program are:

• Bachelor's Degree in ICT
• Bachelor's Degree in other fields (with at least 2 years of work experience in IT)
• Diploma (with at least 3 years of work experience in IT)
• SPM qualification (with at least 5 years of work experience in IT)

Assessment Methods

The program uses two assessment methods:

1. Individual assignment
2. Final project

Payment Methods

The program offers two payment methods:

1. Full payment
2. Installment payment (3 times)

There is no sponsorship available for the program.

HRD Corp Claim

The program is claimable under HRD Corp (Human Resource Development Corporation, formerly HRDF), provided that the employer is registered and contributing to HRD Corp. The claim must be applied through the employer, not the individual participant. The employer must have an active account in the HRD Corp system (eTRIS).
