Program Sunathon 2025
The Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), organized the 21st Program Sunathon on December 20, 2025, at the Main Lobby of the Clinical Block, HCTM. The program involved 49 children, including children of HCTM staff, Faculty of Medicine UKM (FPER), Hospital Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani, Hospital Pakar Kanak-Kanak (Hospital TABTAR), and children from Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Malaysia.
Program Details
- The program was officiated by YBhg. Dato' Dr. Azmi Baharudin, Director of HCTM.
- The program has been ongoing since 2003 and has become a meaningful community service tradition.
- Strategic partners involved in the program include the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Ministry of Higher Education (KPT), and several health institutions and non-governmental organizations.
- HCTM management expressed gratitude to RMHC Malaysia for their continuous support of HCTM's programs, which not only facilitated the program's success but also brought joy to the participating children.
- Various HCTM departments were involved in the program, including the Director's Office, Finance Department, Surgery Department, Nursing Services Department, Corporate Communications Department, Multimedia and Broadcasting Department, Unit of Medical Assistant Services (U4P), Infrastructure Division of Kuala Lumpur Campus (KKL), and Security Division of KKL.
Attendees
- The program was attended by YBrs. Prof. Madya Dr. Azlan Helmy Abd Samat, Deputy Dean (Entrepreneurship) representing the Dean of FPER.
- Other attendees included YBhg. Datin Dr. Anita Sulong, Deputy Director (Diagnostic, Pharmacy, and Clinical Support) representing the Director of Hospital TABTAR, YBhg. Lt. Kol. (PA) Prof. Dato' Dr. Zulkifli Md Zainuddin, Head of Urology Unit, Surgery Department, and other senior officials, parents, and children.
Program Significance
- The program aimed to bring joy and cheer to the participating children.
- It demonstrated HCTM's commitment to community service and social responsibility.
- The program's success was attributed to the collaboration and support of various stakeholders, including strategic partners, HCTM staff, and participating organizations.
