    • PGY-7: $82,160
    • PGY-8: $85,790
  • Medical Plan: Competitive plans through Blue Cross Blue Shield, with coverage for residents and their families.
  • Dental Plan: Two plans available, with UTMB covering the cost of resident premiums and family members eligible for a small monthly fee.
  • Vision Plan: Superior Vision Plan or Superior Vision Plus available for a small monthly fee.
  • Life Insurance: Basic life insurance offered at no cost to residents, with increased coverage available for a small monthly fee.
  • Disability: Long- and short-term disability insurance available for a small monthly fee.

Paid Time Off (PTO)/FMLA

Resident Development Fund

Residents receive a yearly fund for professional development, with amounts varying by PGY level:


  • PGY 1: $500
  • PGY 2 and PGY 3: $1000
