نظرة عامة على البرنامج

BMS422 Applied Mindfulness

This subject takes students on a journey of discovery and practice of mindfulness-based intervention, including Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Yoga-based approach, and Vipassana technique. Students will gain a deep understanding of mindfulness exercises and will be able to develop critical and analytical skills in relation to the theories and rationale of this approach, which in turn, can be applied to their own lives and work areas.

Subject Outlines

Students will be expected to practice face-to-face mindfulness-based intervention during a residential school under experienced mindfulness supervisors and will be required to exercise the approach in daily life at least a couple of hours daily through diary-record or written-work assessments. Completion of this subject does not represent accreditation as there are no regulatory bodies for mindfulness; however, students will learn about mindfulness and applying mindfulness-based interventions, which will contribute to gaining a Graduate Certificate in Applied Mindfulness.
