نظرة عامة على البرنامج

EHR220 Sports Media 2

EHR220 Sports Media 2 gives students an opportunity to develop and apply skills in two areas of sports journalism media. Students will analyse critiques of the industry and the use of text, sound and images in modern sports journalism and sports media. The subject also requires students to produce their own examples of sports media product. Students will critique the contemporary culture of sports media in Australia and globally, consider how cultural power works in the relationship between sport and media, contemplate how notions of gender, sexuality and discrimination affect sports media and also examine new spaces in which sports media operate (particularly online spaces). Sports Media 2 provides students with the opportunity to critically reflect on the changing landscapes on sports media and also prepares students for ethical and professional workplace experiences.
