Introduction to ITC570 IT Project Experience
ITC570 IT Project Experience is a subject that provides a project development experience at an advanced level on a topic in Information Technology as selected by a student. Students will demonstrate project management skills by selecting, planning, managing, and reporting on the project. The subject is suitable for a range of project types and as preparation for a course-related capstone experience.

- Session 1 (30) on campus at CSU Study Centre Sydney
- Session 2 (60) on campus at CSU Study Centre Sydney

Enrolment Restrictions
The subject is available to students in the Master of Information Technology, Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours), Bachelor of Computer Science (GamesTech) (Hons) courses only. Approval by the course coordinator may be required.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to apply technical and theoretical skills of the area studied to an IT Project
- be able to select a project topic and analyse the benefits as they relate to the workplace and/or research (as well as professional development and personal interest)
- be able to design a detailed project plan
- be able to demonstrate project management skills during all stages of the project
- be able to negotiate with the supervisor (or team leader or mentor) to determine a rubric to show how the project is to be evaluated
- be able to reflect upon and critically evaluate all practices and learning outcomes from the project
- be able to effectively use professional writing skills to report on the final outcomes of the project

- Development of the IT project proposal and plan
- Project management and communication
- Preparing and writing IT project reports
- IT Project evaluation and metrics
- Project Closure: managing client acceptance
