Program Overview

The ASC532 Master's Research Dissertation is a subject that allows students to develop an advanced level of knowledge in a nominated discipline and develop research, verbal, and written skills in a specialized field.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:


  • demonstrate knowledge and skills relevant to conducting research, especially for entry to higher degree courses
  • demonstrate an advanced level of knowledge in the area of specialization
  • demonstrate verbal and written skills relevant to advanced studies

Syllabus

This subject will cover the following topics:


  • Students select a research topic, develop a plan, and then undertake a research project under the guidance of the supervisor(s), which is relevant to the nominated discipline

Special Resources

The research project may incur substantial operating costs. Students must have formal arrangements in place to cover such costs before commencing the subject.
