Implementation Doctorate Program

Introduction

The Implementation Doctorate program is a unique opportunity for PhD students to conduct research and implementation activities in collaboration with their employers. The program is designed to meet the needs of participants and provides an alternative form of teaching practice.

1. Trilateral Agreement

The trilateral agreement is concluded between three parties: the PhD student, the partner (PhD student's employer), and the university. The template of the agreement is shared with PhD students via email after signing the financing agreement with the Ministry of Education and Science. The agreement is made in three identical copies, and any modifications must be accepted by the legal department. Signing the trilateral agreement is a prerequisite for receiving a scholarship in the first year of participation in the program.

2. Scholarship

Each participant of the Doctoral School without a doctoral degree receives a doctoral scholarship. The participants of the Implementation Doctorate program are given a scholarship in the amount of PLN 3,450.00. After a month with a positive result of mid-term evaluation, the scholarship is increased to PLN 4,450.00. The doctoral scholarship is paid for a maximum period of 4 years, provided that the PhD students' yearly reports are approved by the Ministry.

3. Teaching Practice

The program introduces alternative forms of conducting teaching practice, allowing participants to realize them at their workplace. Recommended forms of teaching practice include:

  • Conducting classes
  • Co-conducting classes
  • Supporting academic teachers in preparing materials for courses
  • Supervision over interns in the workplace
  • Supervision over theses
  • Conducting trainings/courses in the workplace
  • Coordination of study visits for students in the workplace

4. Yearly Report

The yearly report is a document submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science to verify progress made by the PhD student in their implementation doctorate. The report includes three parts:

1. General Information

General information about the doctorate, including the stage of conducting the dissertation, in compliance with the individual research plan.

2. Description of Progress

The progress in scientific and implementation activities, presented in the same way as in the yearly report and in the individual research plan/documents for mid-term evaluation.

3. Stage of Conducting the Doctorate

Information on whether the doctorate is being conducted in compliance with the assumptions/schedule, including any changes or delays, with reasons and proposed solutions.

5. Modifications in the Realization of Doctorate

All modifications introduced to the implementation doctorate, including changes to the supervisor, advisor, subject of the doctorate, discipline, basis of employment, or employer, must be agreed upon with the Ministry. PhD students must contact the PhD Students Office to apply for modifications, and a template will be provided to specify the scope of data and documents required.
