Introduction to the IMSc Program
The Integrált villamosmérnöki és mérnökinformatikusi BSc+MSc (IMSc) program is a comprehensive academic program offered by the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. This program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in both electrical engineering and computer science.
Program Requirements
To participate in the IMSc program, students must meet certain requirements. These include:
- Completing the program's curriculum as outlined in the mintatanterv
- Achieving a minimum of 30 IMSc points (for students starting after September 2020)
- Maintaining a weighted grade point average of at least 4.0
Admission Criteria
For new students interested in joining the IMSc program, the following criteria apply:
- The student must be enrolled in the 2025/2026 academic year's first semester
- The student must have completed the first semester's coursework as per the mintatanterv
- The student must have achieved a weighted grade point average of at least 4.0
- Admission is limited to 60 students per academic year, with selection based on a minimum grade point average threshold
Program Details
The IMSc program includes the following key aspects:
- Tájékoztató and Felhívás: Students are encouraged to review the program's guide and announcement carefully.
- Lejelentkezés: Students who do not wish to continue in the program must complete a withdrawal questionnaire between January 15, 2026, and February 4, 2026.
- Jelentkezés: Interested students can apply to join the program by completing the application questionnaire between January 15, 2026, and February 4, 2026.
- Motivációs beszélgetés: A motivational interview will be conducted in early February 2026 for applicants.
- Felvételi döntés: Admission decisions will be made based on the applicants' grade point averages and will be announced in early February 2026.
