Introduction to the Master of Disaster Risk Management Program

The Master of Disaster Risk Management (MDRM) program is a postgraduate degree offered by the Disaster Preparedness and Prevention Center (DPPC) at the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). This program aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of disaster risk management professionals.


Program Overview

The MDRM program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of disaster risk management, including emergency response, disaster medicine, and risk reduction strategies. The program includes a series of lectures, workshops, and practical sessions, as well as scenario-based exercises that simulate real-world disaster scenarios.


Certified Professional Training (CPT)

The CPT is a training program offered in conjunction with the MDRM program. The CPT provides participants with valuable insights and training on emergency medical response, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) response, mental health and psychosocial supports, and management of dead bodies after disaster.
