Introduction to Biological Sciences
The study of Biological Sciences encompasses the examination of living organisms, from animals and plants to microbes. This field of study delves into the interactions between the living world and the environment, aiming to understand and prepare for the future.
What Will My Study Involve?
- Lab work to examine cell biology, biodiversity, microorganisms, zoology, and more.
- Utilization of the university's extensive network of field stations to enhance practical field skills, particularly in Te Waipounamu, South Island.
- The opportunity to focus on specific interests as studies progress.
- The Biological Sciences major is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB), ensuring graduates are equipped with well-rounded knowledge and skills, making them highly employable.
