Joint Erasmus Mundus Degree EUROPHOTONICS

The Joint Erasmus Mundus Degree EUROPHOTONICS is a two-year Master's program offered by Tampere University as part of a European consortium. This 120 ECTS program focuses on advanced research and applied topics in photonics with interdisciplinary applications.

Program Overview

The EUROPHOTONICS program allows students to study photonics in leading European universities and earn a joint degree. Photonics, the science and technology of light, offers many applications in fields such as medical technology, energy production, data transmission, quantum computing, AR and VR technologies, lighting, and more. Different specializations in the program give students the opportunity to learn the basics and focus on a specialization according to the focus area of each participating university.
