2026 Pediatric Emergency Medicine Series

Program Description

This is a series that includes both didactic lectures and case-based presentations geared towards the pediatric emergency medicine provider. Presentations are given by pediatric emergency medicine providers, subspecialty physicians, or experts from other disciplines and cover a wide range of topics that include an evidence-based medicine approach to pediatric resuscitation/trauma and other common acute pediatric illnesses, public health and advocacy topics such as health disparities, community violence, and pediatric mental health, amongst others.

Learning Objectives

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:


  • Provide patient care that reflects evidence-based medicine as presented and reviewed in the series.
  • Evaluate, as part of the group, whether changes need to be made to existing clinical practice guidelines to improve patient care when new information or healthcare innovations are presented.
  • Provide hospital resources that can assist in care-coordination and enhance the care of patients.
  • Manage social, economic, and environmental issues that affect the health of patients cared for in the emergency department.
