Baccalauréat en Traduction Professionnelle
The Baccalauréat en Traduction Professionnelle program forms polyvalent individuals, professionals in translation from English to French, capable of exercising their profession in Canada and in a globalized market.
Program Description
At the end of their studies, students will distinguish themselves by their excellent mastery of languages and computer tools, their analytical capacity, and their general culture. In addition to language perfection courses, students will take specialized translation courses (administrative, literary, scientific, and technical), terminology, and cultural and professional context courses, as well as chosen courses based on their interests.
Recognition by a Professional Order
This program has been designed to respect the accreditation criteria established by the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ) and has built an enviable reputation in the field. After obtaining their diploma, students will have access to the professional titles awarded by OTTIAQ (trad. a. and term. a.), which will allow them to stand out in the job market.
Professional Experience
During their studies, students will have the opportunity to complete three paid internships, each lasting one session, during which they will benefit from the supervision of experienced translators in various work environments.
