Introduction to FdSc Animal Health and Management

The FdSc Animal Health and Management course is a two-year, full-time program offered by Cornwall College in partnership with the University of Plymouth. This course is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to develop themselves in terms of their personal and employability skills, with a focus on animal health and management.

Year 1

    • Introduction to Animal Health: This module will study the causes of infectious diseases and methods of disease spread, control, and prevention.
    • Principles of Animal Science: The anatomy and physiology of a range of mammals and commonly kept non-mammalian vertebrates are vital knowledge for any animal treatment.
    • Research Skills: This module is designed to develop the student's knowledge of the underpinning principles of research, experimental design, and data analysis.
