B1395 - Bachelor of Laws

Overview

The Murdoch Law degree is a professional preparation that includes both candidates who enter it directly from matriculation and mature-age students. A significant proportion of the Law degree is obligatory, giving all students a basic understanding of the legal system and an introduction to the abilities demanded by the professional practice of law. Students will be provided with opportunities to practise these abilities in simulated professional settings, such as the Law School's Clinical Legal Education Clinic at SCALES in Rockingham and the Human Rights Law Clinic at Murdoch. Students will build on this foundation through advanced unit offerings in areas such as corporate and commercial law, environmental law, family law, international law, alternative dispute resolution, and human rights law.
