Master's of Fine Arts Degree Program in Creative Writing

The University of Alaska Fairbanks offers a rigorous three-year Master's of Fine Arts Degree Program in Creative Writing and Literature. This program prepares MFA creative writing students to become engaging teachers, critical thinkers, and fearless writers dedicated to the art of storytelling.


Program Overview

Students in the MFA program work with published faculty members one-on-one and in courses focusing on fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction.
