Public Health - Associate of Applied Science
The Public Health - Associate of Applied Science program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in public health. The program requires a total of 66 credits.
Core Requirements
The core requirements for the program are divided into five areas:
- Area I: Communications

Notes
- Courses are identical to those offered at New Mexico State University Las Cruces (main) Campus.
- While MATH 120 Intermediate Algebra meets this program's core requirements, it does not satisfy the New Mexico General Education Common Core.
- Students transferring to the BPH degree program are required to take STAT 251G Statistics for Business and the Behavioral Sciences and receive a minimum grade of C.
- A grade of C or better is required in all courses listed under Technical Requirements. The CHSS and PHLS courses listed here may be applied toward the bachelor's degree program in Public Health at NMSU.
- PHLS 275 Foundations of Health Education is a prerequisite for this course.
