Study and Work Programme

The University of Limerick Language Centre offers a 25-week Study and Work programme designed for Non-EU students. This programme provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable skills, explore Ireland, and take an internationally recognised Cambridge Exam.


Programme Details

The programme costs 4000 and includes:


  • 25-week course + 8-week holiday (covering tuition, textbooks, and admin fees)
  • FREE Medical Insurance for the duration of stay
  • FREE Cambridge Exam at the Language Centre

Eligibility

The Study and Work Programme is open to EU and non-EU applicants. Non-EEA students may be granted permission for a maximum of three language courses, amounting to total immigration permission of two years (3 x 8 months).


Programme Structure

Students study 20 hours per week for 25 weeks and use the rest of their time to work or for holidays. Non-EU students can work up to 20 hours per week during term time and up to 40 hours per week during June, July, August, and September, and between 15 December and 15 January.


Support and Resources

The programme includes CV and interview technique workshops, as well as support in finding employment. The University of Limerick's Careers Service also provides a range of digital tools available to students.
