How to Clip a Horse

Overview

Clipping a horse is often part of showing horses; displaying neatness and improving their appearance. This course is suitable for beginners and will provide you with the theory and practical training required.

On completion of the training you'll have been shown a variety of clipping techniques and have an awareness of the essential safety measures.

This course is not offered during the summer.

The instructor/studio ration is 1:12.

Free parking is available on campus in Writtle: we'll issue a permit to you and ask that it's clearly displayed in your vehicle. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available; please bring any other refreshments.

Who Should Attend?

This 3 hour workshop is suitable for beginners to horse clipping.

Entry Requirements

You must be over 14 to join this course; parental consent will be required.

There are no formal entry requirements, though please come appropriately dressed for an equine yard with an approved riding hat, gloves and boots.

By making a booking you are declaring yourself medically fit to participate in the course.
