Language Proficiency Requirements:
English is the language of instruction at Capilano University. All applicants are required to demonstrate competence in the English language prior to admission.
Domestic Students:
- English is the first language or
- Graduated from a Canadian high school or
- Completed at least 3 years of full-time study in English at a recognized post-secondary institution
International Students:
- IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0
- TOEFL iBT: 88 overall with no section below 20
- PTE Academic: 58 overall with no communicative skill below 50
- CAEL: 70 overall with no band below 60
- Duolingo English Test: 115 overall
