The Rowan Experience
The Master of Science (M.S.) in Cybersecurity program at Rowan University prepares students with the knowledge and skills needed to understand key issues along with present and emerging cyber threats to information systems, develops graduates with a sufficiently broad and strong technical foundation to understand and analyze cybersecurity vulnerabilities and protections, and prepares students for specialized cybersecurity careers.

Online Pathway
The online pathway of the M.S. in Cybersecurity program requires the completion of 30 graduate semester hours (10 courses). All students must complete 6 credits of foundation courses (2 courses) and 9 credits of core courses (3 courses). Students may complete this degree within 1 ½ to 2 years of study.
In-Person Pathway
The in-person pathway of the M.S. in Cybersecurity program requires the completion of 31 graduate semester hours (11 courses). All students must complete 6 credits of foundation courses (2 courses) and 9 credits of core courses (3 courses). Students may complete this degree within 1 ½ to 2 years of study.

Admission Requirements
The following is a list of items required to begin the application process for the program. There may be additional actions or materials required for admission to the program. Upon receipt of the materials below a representative from the Rowan Global Admissions Processing Office will contact you with confirmation or indicating any missing items.
- Completed Application Form
- $65 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee
- Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Official transcripts from all colleges attended (regardless of number of credits earned)
- Current professional resume
- Typewritten statement of professional objectives
- Provide reasons for pursuing the program. Describe how you might use this program to advance your career (educational goals beyond the master's level, if applicable, are also relevant).
- Two letters of recommendation
- Letters of recommendation should be from professional administrators and include information, which attests to applicant's ability to pursue a graduate degree.
- Minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for Computer Science Majors. All other majors require a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
- Submission of official TOEFL/LANG test (International)

Entry Requirements:
For the M.S. in Cybersecurity program at Rowan University, the following are required for application:
- Completed Application Form: A completed application form is the first step.
- Application Fee: A non-refundable $65 (U.S.) application fee.
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Official Transcripts: Official transcripts from all colleges attended, regardless of credit earned. If the document is not in English, a certified English translation is required.
- Resume/CV: A current professional resume or curriculum vitae.
- Statement of Objectives: A typewritten statement outlining professional objectives, reasons for pursuing the program, how the program will advance the applicant's career, and any educational goals beyond the master's level. Applicants should also highlight personal qualities like leadership or talent.
- Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation from professional administrators attesting to the applicant's ability to pursue a graduate degree. These must be on official letterhead and unique to the student. (M.S. applicants need 2; Ph.D. applicants need 3).
- Minimum GPA: A minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for Computer Science majors; all other majors require a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Foreign Credential Evaluation Report: This is optional.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
International students must submit proof of English language proficiency unless exempt. Acceptable tests include TOEFL (Rowan's code is 2515), Pearson Test of English (PTE, Rowan's code is M7V), Duolingo (add Rowan University to your "My Colleges" list), and IELTS (official score reports can be verified with the TRF#). If scores are too low, conditional admission may be offered, requiring participation in the university's English Language Program (ELP) before matriculation.
