Master of Science in Finance
Overview
The Master of Science in Finance is an intensive one-year full-time course designed for finance graduates who wish to pursue a career in the financial services industry or a career in the finance function.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should have an honours bachelor degree (2.2) or higher with finance constituting a major part and will be assessed as to their general suitability. If English is not the first language, applicants will need to provide evidence of their English language proficiency as detailed on the university's website. A minimum IELTS (Academic Version) English Proficiency of 6.5 overall (or equivalent) with nothing less than 6 in each component is required.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the course will be equipped to work in a number of areas in the financial sector. They will have a strong exposure to the financial markets and to market instruments. As such, they are equipped to work in roles where analysis of financial and economic information is required, corporate finance type roles in a wide variety of organisations. They would also be equipped to carry out econometric analysis in a research support role in a financial institution.
