Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) MA
Overview
The Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) MA is a postgraduate degree that provides advanced training for TESOL professionals. The course is designed to be studied fully online, allowing students to complete their Master's from anywhere in the world.
Course Structure
The course consists of the following modules:
- Language and Learning (40 credits)
- Language Teaching Methods (40 credits)
- Materials Development (20 credits)
- Testing and Assessment (20 credits)
- MA TESOL Dissertation (60 credits)
Entry Requirements
- A minimum of a lower second class honours degree (2:2)
- After submitting an application, students will be given an assignment to discuss the statement "Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages must take account of the learners' educational context" in no more than 1,500 words
- If the first language is not English, students should have an IELTS 6.5 with at least 6.0 in all components
