MA Editing and Post Production (EPP)
Overview
Our Post Graduate Editing and Post Production Course aims to produce job-ready graduates who have the ambition and drive to develop a long-term career in editing and post-production or pursue research in this field. This course provides the flexibility to study alongside your career.
Whilst on the course, you will develop storytelling and research skills and acquire essential skills in editing, color grading, and visual effects on industry-standard platforms such as AVID Media Composer and DaVinci Resolve/Fusion.

We have strong industry links. Our graduates are currently working at some of the major post-production houses like ENVY, Clear Cut Pictures, Halo, Molinare, Evolutions, or on one of the many freelance post-production roles on High-End Television for Sky, BBC, Netflix.
Our school is a full member of CILECT, the prestigious International Association of Film and Television Schools (Centre International de Liaison des Ecoles de Cinéma et de Télévision), a global organization of top-tier film schools.

These are complemented with the development of a critical and analytical mindset to promote continuing career progression after graduation.
Teaching and Assessment
You'll be taught by experienced lecturers and visiting tutors, who combine their teaching with work in the EPP industry and visual research.
The curriculum is delivered through lectures, practical exercises, and masterclasses and is supplemented with online self-directed training, provided by our partners such as AVID and Blackmagic Design.
Individual and group tutorials support our students in every module, and we use Moodle as our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
During the course, students may also have the opportunity to join the London South Bank Collective, a student-run professional creative agency based on the University campus.
Students have access to facilities such as editing suites, Mac laboratories, as well as free personal license for relevant software. We require students to purchase a good quality 1TB drive before commencing the course. A computer with minimum 16GB Ram and appropriate graphics card is always recommended for anyone wishing to pursue a career in post-production.

Your tutor will support you to get the most of your time at LSBU, providing advice and signposting to other sources of support in the University.
Your tutor should be the first person at the university that you speak to if you are having any difficulties that are affecting your work. These could be academic, financial, health-related, or another type of problem.
Your tutor will keep in touch with you throughout your course, and you can contact your tutor for additional meetings or support by email.
