Procurement Certification Program (PCP Level 2: Intermediate)

The Procurement Certification Program (PCP Level 2: Intermediate) is a 2-day workshop that addresses intermediate skills for procurement in the Queensland Public Sector. This industry-recognised training is delivered in partnership with AcademyGlobal, a leading provider of corporate and government training.


Program Overview

The program is designed for individuals who buy goods and services on behalf of the government. It covers the strategic sourcing cycle, procurement planning, and value for money principles for low-medium value, low-risk activities. Participants will learn how to develop and implement procurement plans aligned with Queensland Government legislation and policy, draft specifications, manage sourcing processes, and oversee supplier selection and basic contract management.


Program Details

  • Duration: 2 days
  • Delivery: In-person at UQ Brisbane City or via a virtual classroom
  • Assessment: Online project to assess knowledge
  • Start dates:
    • 4-5 February 2026 (virtual)
    • 25-26 February 2026 (in-person)
    • 11-12 March 2026 (virtual)
    • 25-26 March 2026 (in-person)
    • 29-30 April 2026 (virtual)

Admission Requirements

  • Completion of Procurement Certification Program Level 1 (Fundamentals)
  • Access to a computer with a Windows operating system, up-to-date versions of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader, and a reliable internet connection

Fees

  • Individuals:
    • Queensland State Government employees: $1,150
    • Full fee: $1,350
  • Group bookings:
    • Queensland State Government employees: $1,050
    • Full fee: $1,250
    • Minimum number of students required for group bookings: 6 students for virtual classes or 12 for face-to-face classes
