Endodontics Program
The Endodontics program at the University of Illinois Chicago offers a comprehensive education in the field of endodontics. The program includes a range of courses that cover the clinical and research aspects of endodontics.
Courses
- ENDO 353: Endodontics Clinic II: A continuation of ENDO 352, where students integrate knowledge and techniques previously learned into the clinical practice of endodontics.
- ENDO 363: Endodontics Clinic IV: A continuation of ENDO 353, where students experience treatment of a variety of cases and prepare to perform simple endodontic procedures at off-site clinic locations with minimal supervision.
- ENDO 600: Endodontic Techniques: A seminar and technique course dealing with endodontic clinical and research methods.
- ENDO 610: Classic Endodontic Literature Review: A seminar covering a wide range of subjects related to the clinical practice of endodontics.

- ENDO 615: Current Endodontics Literature Review: A yearly update of most recent articles from endodontic publications.
- ENDO 617: American Board Review: Topics covered by the American Board of Endodontics written and oral exam are reviewed.
- ENDO 618: Teaching, Learning, and Critical Thinking: An introduction to principles of teaching, learning, and critical analysis of the literature in dentistry and education.
- ENDO 619: Endodontic Surgery: All aspects of endodontic surgery are discussed and laboratory exercises are carried out.
- ENDO 620: Endodontics Clinic: The clinical aspects of diagnosis, case selection, and treatment, both surgical and non-surgical, are covered under instructor supervision.
- ENDO 630: Clinical Conference in Endodontics: Clinical treatment regimens for varied types of endodontic patient cases are presented and discussed.
- ENDO 698: Endodontic Research: Each student must plan, complete, write, and defend an original thesis that satisfies departmental requirements.
Program Requirements
