BSc Aerospace Engineering

The BSc Aerospace Engineering programme is designed to prepare students for a career in the aerospace industry, with a focus on sustainable aerospace. The programme covers a wide range of topics, including the design of aircraft, helicopters, wind turbines, and satellites.

Overview

  • Working language: English
  • Numerus Fixus: Yes
  • Starts: September
  • Required subjects: Dutch VWO Physics & Mathematics B or equivalent
  • Form: Full time – on campus

Important Dates

  • Registration deadline: 15 January 2026
  • Open Campus Day: 20 March 2026

About the Programme

The programme provides students with the essential knowledge needed to understand aerospace engineering, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, manufacturing, and statistics. Students will learn how to design systems, connect different parts of engineering, and work together with students from around the world.

Student Experiences

  • First-year student Isabeau says, "A lot of people ask me if I genuinely like my study, as everyone around me sees that it takes a lot of effort to keep up with classes and stay focused. Nevertheless, it has been the best decision that I have ever made."
  • Second-year student Kristian says, "Aerospace Engineering is a very challenging study programme that combines a variety of engineering fields, which is clearly noticeable from the courses that are offered. You will do a lot of mathematics, physics, chemistry, manufacturing, even some statistics and of course a lot of Aerospace. After one year of studying, I am still very happy with my choice."
  • Third-year student Maxime says, "I mostly preferred the math intensive courses, such as linear algebra in the first year. Once you have those basics under control, the harder courses, like vibrations, aerodynamics and signals, become a lot easier and fun."

After Your Studies

The programme provides students with a wide range of career opportunities, including:

  • Career opportunities in the aerospace industry
  • Master’s programme at the faculty
