Introduction to the ELE: Formació de professorat Program
The ELE: Formació de professorat program is designed to provide students with the necessary tools and knowledge to teach Spanish as a foreign language. This program is offered by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and is accredited by the Instituto Cervantes.

The main objectives of the ELE: Formació de professorat program are:

Admission Requirements
The program is open to individuals who are 18 years or older, preferably graduates or students of Translation and Interpretation, Philology, Applied Languages, or related fields. It is also open to individuals from other disciplines who wish to pursue a career in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fee for the program is 440 euros, which includes classes, teaching materials, and the UPF certificate. No discounts are applicable.
Sessions and Schedules
The program is offered in two editions:
- Presential edition: October 6 - December 15, 2025, Mondays and Wednesdays, 17:30 - 19:30
- Intensive presential edition: June 29 - July 10, 2026, Mondays to Fridays, 9:30 - 14:00
Certificate
Upon completion of the program, students will receive a UPF certificate of attendance and a qualitative report.

Information sessions will be held throughout the academic year, where the program coordinator and instructors will provide details about the program and answer questions from prospective students.
