The Imaging and Radiotherapy techniques REPLICA C - ASL RIETI program is designed to produce graduates who are qualified to work as healthcare professionals in the field of medical imaging and radiotherapy.

Program Description

Graduates of the program in Tecniche di radiologia medica per immagini e radioterapia, as defined by the Ministry of University and Research Scientific and Technological Decree of April 2, 2001, and subsequent amendments and integrations, are healthcare professionals authorized to perform, autonomously or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, interventions that require the use of ionizing radiation sources, both artificial and natural, thermal energies, ultrasound, nuclear magnetic resonance, as well as interventions for physical or dosimetric protection.

Program Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning and organization of work within the structure in which they operate, respecting their competencies.
• Manage the provision of polyvalent services within their competence in direct collaboration with the radiodiagnostic doctor, nuclear medicine doctor, radiotherapist doctor, and health physicist, according to previously defined diagnostic and therapeutic protocols by the structure's manager.
• Are responsible for acts within their competence, particularly by controlling the correct functioning of the equipment entrusted to them, providing for the elimination of minor inconveniences, and implementing quality assurance programs according to predefined indicators and standards.
• Contribute to the training of support staff and directly participate in the updating related to their professional profile and research.

The program aims to provide adequate training in the field of protection from ionizing radiation, ensuring that graduates are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to work effectively in the healthcare sector.
