Overview
The Master of Engineering delivers expert skills and applied competencies required for the professional engineer. Designed to train and enhance professional practice, advance technical and specialist skills, this degree provides an opportunity to put theory into practice with applied projects and research.
Throughout the Master of Engineering you will gain communication, strategic, and project management skills essential to the practicing engineer.
The Master of Engineering is professionally accredited by Engineers Australia, apart from Management major.
Computer Engineering (specialisation)
The specialisation in computer engineering covers advanced topics in image and video processing and the future internet. You will have discipline specific knowledge and technical skills in the design and development of hardware and embedded systems and develop specialist skills needed to lead a process of innovative change within the sector.
You will study subjects in advanced signals and systems, image and video processing, the future internet: architectures and communication protocols. You will also complete an advanced project.

Entry Requirements
- A recognised 4-year Bachelor of Engineering degree with an equivalent average mark of 60%.

Workload
- Full-Time Study Load: As a full-time student, you can expect to commit around 48 hours of study per week. This includes class time and independent study. You may need to factor more time for examination study and practical work & placements.

Credit for Prior Learning
- Applicants who have completed a major in their undergraduate degree in the same area as the Master of Engineering course may apply for credit for 24 credit points (one session). Applicants with a Bachelor Honours degree in the same area may apply for credit for 48 credit points (one year of full-time study).
- If you have completed prior studies or relevant professional experience, you can request course credit or subject exemptions to reduce the duration and cost of your program.
- Credit for prior learning evaluates your previous study or work experience related to your chosen subjects.
