Master of Education
The Master of Education is designed for educational practitioners who have graduated and seek to enhance their skills, knowledge, and gain career advancement in the field of Education. Papers focus on areas such as curriculum, pedagogy, or policy development.

Entry Requirements
Admission normally requires:
- A bachelor's degree with at least a B grade average across the level 300 papers.
- A teaching qualification or a major or minor in any of the subjects offered in the Master of Education, or substantial relevant experience.

Graduate Outcomes
Graduates will have advanced understanding and knowledge across a range of aspects of education. They will be able to demonstrate the capacity for self-directed study, plan and carry out original research, and understand and evaluate new knowledge and ideas in education.
Structure of the Master of Education Programme
The requirements of the Master of Education are 180 points, including:
- At least 30 points from List A of papers.
- Up to a further 90 points from List A and B.
- One of the research methods List C papers.
- One of the research paper options of List D.
30 points may be taken from outside the field of the degree.
Further Study Options
Graduates who complete a Master of Education with First Class or Second Class Division honours will be eligible to be considered for enrolment in a Doctor of Education.
