From Machiavelli to the Machiavellian
Overview
The course explores the work and legacy of Niccolo Machiavelli, focusing on The Prince and Discourses on Livy.
Programme Details
- Seminars: Participants are taught in small seminar groups of up to 10 students, with two one-on-one tutorials with their tutor.
- Programme Timetable: The daily timetable includes seminars, tea/coffee breaks, lunch, and afternoons for tutorials, individual study, or exploring Oxford.
Certification
- Certificate of Attendance: All participants who complete the course receive a physical Certificate of Attendance.
- Digital Badge: Participants also receive an official digital badge of attendance.
- Academic Credit: The course carries 10 CATS (Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme) points at FHEQ (Framework for Higher Education Qualification) Level 4.

- Pre-course assignment of 1,500 words
- On-course assignment (1,000 word written assignment or presentation supported by individual documentation)
