Program Overview

The AUR20220 Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology is a nationally recognised course that provides individuals with the necessary skills to work safely with automotive air conditioning systems. This qualification is a key requirement for securing a refrigerant handling licence.


Career Opportunities

Upon completion of this course, students will be eligible to apply for a Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL) with the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC), allowing them to service and repair automotive air-conditioning systems. Potential job titles may include Automotive Air Conditioning Serviceperson.

Requirements

  • Completion of the Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) online literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy assessment prior to enrolment
  • A Refrigerant and Air Conditioning (RAC) Trainee Licence must be applied for to undertake this course
  • Qualification acceleration is available to individuals who have completed some or all of the relevant units of competency included in this qualification
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for those with older qualifications

  • Fee for Service/Full Fee: The full tuition fee is charged to students
  • Co-Contribution and Co-Contribution Concessional Fee: Some government-funded training programs require students to contribute to the cost of their education through a co-contribution fee
