COURSE DETAILS

The Diploma in Sport Business (F00) is a year-long program delivered in partnership with Edith Cowan University (ECU). The program takes place at the world-class facilities at Mineral Resources Park in Lathlain and is designed to develop the skills and knowledge required to manage people, build relationships, networks, and teams in sport, and become a better leader.

Course Overview

This unique opportunity allows students to learn within the elite environment of the West Coast Eagles and connect with industry experts, engaging with staff, players, and coaches. Students will have access to up to 100 hours of work-integrated learning across various departments within the West Coast Eagles to learn how an AFL club operates, build their professional network, and supercharge their resume.

Real-World Experience in an Elite AFL Environment

The program offers up to 100 hours of hands-on work-integrated learning within the Eagles organisation, allowing students to gain practical experience and apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting.

Career Opportunities with the Eagles

Graduates of the program may be considered for up to two graduate roles at the Eagles, providing a potential career pathway.

Advance Your Education and Career Path

Upon completing the Diploma in Sport Business, students may be eligible for up to one year of university credit towards select undergraduate ECU degrees.

The Diploma in Sport Business provides a pathway to several undergraduate ECU degrees, including:

• Bachelor of Global Sport Business Management
• Bachelor of Commerce (Sport Business and Event Management)
• Dual degree in Global Sport Business Management (International) in partnership with the University of Portsmouth, UK
• Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sports Science)/Bachelor of Commerce (Sport Business)
