Admission to the Master Programme in Psychology

The University of Vienna offers a Master programme in Psychology, which is designed for students who have completed a Bachelor or diploma programme in Psychology or a related field. The programme is taught in German, and applicants must have a German language proficiency level of C1 or higher.

Admission Procedure

2. Apply for admission: Create a u:account and log in to u:space to complete the registration and select the degree programme.
3. Upload the required documents: Upload the required documents, including higher education degree certificate(s) and transcripts/diploma supplement, and proof of German language proficiency.
4. Entrance exam: Participate in the written entrance exam, which takes place on a specified date.
5. Wait for the admission letter: After the exam, wait for the admission letter, which will be sent via email.
6. Admission to the degree programme: If the admission letter is positive, complete the admission procedure by paying the tuition fee/Students' Union fee and ordering the u:card.

Entrance Exam

The entrance exam is a written test that takes place on a specified date. The exam is in German, and the duration is 45 minutes. The exam result and further information will be sent via email approximately 14 days after the exam.

Tuition Fee/Students' Union Fee

The tuition fee/Students' Union fee must be paid after the admission letter has been received. The fee is 50, and it must be paid before the start of the semester.

The University of Vienna recognises the following proofs of German language proficiency:

• TestDaF (TDN 4 or higher).
• DSH (DSH-2 or higher).
• 烿D (烿D C1 or higher).
