Admission to the master's program in Applied Economics

Your steps in the admission process

Your steps in the admission process depend on whether you have completed a bachelor's degree in economics or another course of study.

Graduates of the bachelor's degree in economics

1. Make sure your SSC has registered the bachelor's degree.
2. Log in to u:space within the application deadline.
3. Under Studies > Apply for a master's degree in the same subject you can see the studies for which automatic admission is possible.
4. Select the master's program in Applied Economics and use the "Allow" button.
5. Pay the tuition/ÖH fee within the admission period.
6. Check in u:space > Study overview whether the admission was carried out correctly.

• Summer semester 2026:
  • Application deadline: November 13, 2025 to March 31, 2026
  • Admission period: January 7th to March 31st, 2026
  • Semester start: March 1st
• Winter semester 2026/27:
  • Application deadline: June 22 to October 31, 2026
  • Admission period: July 13 to October 31, 2026
  • Semester starts: October 1st
• Summer semester 2027:
  • Application deadline: November 16, 2026 to March 31, 2027
  • Admission period: January 11th to March 31st, 2027
  • Semester start: March 1st
