MSc in Economics (Applied Economics/Digital Economics)

Introduction

The MSc in Economics (Applied Economics/Digital Economics) is a postgraduate program offered by the Faculty of Business.

Programme (Applied Economics)

The Applied Economics program focuses on the application of economic principles to real-world problems.

Programme (Digital Economics)

The Digital Economics program explores the impact of digital technologies on economic systems and institutions.

Entrance Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
• If an applicant is not a native speaker of English, and their Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is awarded by institutions where the medium of instruction is not English, the applicant is expected to fulfill the Universitys minimum English language requirement for admission purpose.

Mode of Study & Duration

Mode of Study

The mode of study is full-time.

• Classes are normally scheduled on weekday daytime and/or evening.

Duration

The normal duration of study is 1 year.

Fee

Fee for 2026/27 Intake

The tuition fee is HK$363,000 per program (HK$11,000 per credit) for local and non-local students.

• No tuition fee is required for Academic Integrity and Ethics in Business.

Scholarships

Scholarships will be awarded to applicants with outstanding qualifications.

Application

The application period is from late September to April of each year.

• Early applications are strongly encouraged.
• Suitable candidates may be invited for interviews.
