Transferable Skills Program
The Transferable Skills Program is a project of the Vice-Rectorate International and Academic Affairs at the University of Bern. The program aims to provide doctoral candidates and postdocs with the opportunity to acquire transferable skills, preparing them for demanding positions within or outside of academia.
Program Description
The program offers a range of courses and workshops, including:

Program Goals
The program aims to:
- Prepare PhD candidates for demanding positions within or outside of academia
- Help postdocs advance in their academic career
- Provide certification of transferable skills, which is seen as a competitive advantage in the labor market
Certification and Recognition
Certificates of attendance are issued for courses, and ECTS are entered into the Core Teaching System of the University of Bern. The decision to recognize academic achievements as part of a candidate's doctoral studies lies with the faculties and graduate schools.
Eligibility and Fees
The program is free of charge for postdocs and doctoral candidates of the University of Bern.
