The Bachelor of Fine Arts / Bachelor of Science Conjoint BFA/BSc is a four-year undergraduate program that combines scientific investigation with creative thinking and making. Programme Structure
The BFA/BSc conjoint degree usually takes four years to complete, requiring students to complete 540 points:
- 255 points from BFA courses
- 255 points from BSc courses
- 30 points from General Education
Students refine their artistic practice by choosing from a wide range of elective courses that suit their developing interests. In their final year, they complete a capstone Fine Arts project and associated research essay. For the Science component, enrollment depends on the chosen majors, with students able to choose up to two subjects as their major(s) for the BSc.

Entry Requirements
New Zealand Secondary School Qualifications
Students must meet the University Entrance (UE) standard and achieve a minimum rank score. Specific subject requirements may also apply.
Tertiary Qualifications
Students can transfer from another tertiary institution if they meet the minimum grade requirements, which include a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.9 or a Grade Point Equivalent (GPE) of 3.9.
International Students
International students must have one of the following:
- International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum total score of 24
- General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level, with a minimum of three A-Level subjects
- Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), with a minimum of three A-level subjects
Guaranteed entry requires specific grades, such as BBC for CIE or 28 for IB Diploma, and an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 with no bands less than 5.5.

Domestic students: NZ$6,594 $8,794.80 Fees are inclusive of 15% GST but do not include the Student Services Fee, course books, travel, and health insurance, or living costs.
