The University of Auckland offers various programs for students, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies.

  • PhD in Engineering
    • To gain entry into the PhD programme in Engineering, students need to have completed an honours or masters degree in Engineering, with at least 25% of the degree in the form of a research dissertation or thesis.
    • Students must have passed appropriate research methodology courses.
    • The minimum overall average of the degree must be at least a B+ grade (GPE 6), including a B+ for the research project.

  • PhD in Engineering
    • A bridging study option may be an alternative pathway to a PhD, if students do not have the research component from their honours or masters study.
    • Approval from the Dean of Graduate Studies is required for the bridging study option.
