Painting on Paper (for Non-BFAs)

• Description: This introduction to watercolor and other water-based media course meets in the studio as well as on-site throughout the city. Subjects range from landscape to the model and still life with an emphasis on art historical and current references to subject matter. Painting from observation provides the structure for almost all the assignments but individual interpretation and fluency with color are the ultimate goals of the class. NOTE: This course will not fulfill Tyler BFA requirements.
• Special Notes: This course will not fulfill Tyler BFA requirements. BFA students interested in the Painting on Paper course should refer to the description for ART 3507/3508. Students may not be enrolled in one of the following Departments: Tyler: Painting and Sculpture, Tyler: Art, Tyler: Crafts, Tyler: Graphic Interactv Design. Prior to Fall 2019, this course was Painting, Drawing and Sculpture 2211.
